Community Engagement Forums

Our distribution plan includes outreach to those individuals that research suggest are most vulnerable to dementia and health disparity, including: low-income, women, and communities of color. We're developing the Community Outreach Network which includes churches, civic organizations and agencies, who collaborate with us to host engagement forums.

These events start fall 2024, and include screening of the My Mama Joe film, followed by Q&A with facilitators who provide information and support on topics related to the film and eldercare like: insurance coverage, money management, testing for early detection, caregiver support, localized treatment options, and more.  Each attendee will receive a workbook/resource guide and local contacts for support. The events are free, appropriate for all ages, and open to anyone.

See the list below for upcoming film screenings and outreach events. Please select the Event Hosting tab if you would like more information, or to discuss bringing a film screening and outreach event to your organization, company, college or community.
